The Cottage with a Timeless Connection

A celebration of not only the contrast between then and now, but the calming connection a home can share with its natural surrounds, Stanley House is the timeless coming together of a heritage cottage and architectural extension. A restrained vision of earthy tones, contradicting textures and natural materials, we worked with client, designer and architect to create a home that is both simple in its palette and intricately detailed in its execution.

Underfloor heated limestone paves the way to the newly appointed kitchen, dining and living areas. The path complete with mirroring gardens, cedar stacking doors with centor retractable screens, invites the outdoors in. Bespoke hardwood joinery connects the generous dining to the statement kitchen; marble, rattan, zelleige tiles and vj paneling - every detail meticulously planned and crafted to perfection. Continuing to the lounge area, an inviting green leather reading nook awaits, with a cosy fire and features aplenty. Full height cedar stacker doors entice you out onto the deck – a louvered roof alfresco awaits, with a view back to the original heritage home.
